The State Bar of Nevada's LRE section helps children grades K-12 learn about the law, the legal system, and their rights and responsibilities through activities that promote cooperative learning, problem solving, and positive interactions between them and members of the legal community.

The We the People District Competitions were held December 13th. The winners that will go to State are:
CCSD High School - West Reed High School Basic High School Wild Card Teams Incline High School Bishop Gorman High School Congratulations to all of the schools who participated this year, all of these outstanding students should be very proud of themselves!!!! ²³² October 30th- The 2008-2009 Mock Trial case is NOW AVAILABLE for all teams! Remember the exhibits as well. See Below! ²³² We had a successful We the People Summer Institute held at the Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village July 27th - August 3rd. If you are a teacher interested in joining us at the Institute next year, please contact Marcia Ellis marciae@nvbar.org Here are the some pictures from the event ²³² The Law Related Education program is co-hosting a new program called Project R.E.A.L. Classes get to sit in and observe a real courtroom in session and then a volunteer attorney will do a follow up visit a few weeks later to go over what the students saw in the courtroom and answer questions about the judicial system. Interested in more information about these exciting tours teachers?
