Board of Governors Elections

The Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada consists of 15 members elected by the active members of the bar who are residents of Nevada and have their official address per SCR 79 in the respective districts.

The 15 board members are as follows:

  • Nine from District One (Clark County)
  • One from District Two (White Pine, Elko, Eureka, Churchill, Lander, Humboldt, Lyon, Lincoln, Douglas, Mineral, Nye, Esmeralda, Pershing and Storey Counties)
  • One from District Three (Carson City)
  • Four from District Four (Washoe County)

The terms of office are staggered, with each elected for a term of three years.

2024 Elections: Voting Open April 9 – May 8

The State Bar of Nevada has begun its annual elections for members of the Board of Governors. Elections begin Tuesday, April 9, 2024, and end on  Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Pacific Time.

Your vote is extremely important, and this year, it’s easier than ever to participate!

Bar members eligible to vote in the following contested race will receive an email from YesElections containing a voting link. It provides voters with a secure and confidential way to access the online voting and tabulation system. If you did not receive your email, contact Manny Botello at mannyb@nvbar.org.
