I have lived in Southern Nevada for
more than 40 years. I am an experienced trial attorney and proud
member of the Charter Class of the William S. Boyd School of Law. I
am currently with Holland & Hart, LLP, a dynamic and growing firm
with offices in Las Vegas and Reno. Prior to joining Holland &
Hart, I was afforded opportunities to work with excellent lawyers
and staff at Peel Brimley, Littler Mendelson, and Morris, Pickering,
& Sanner.
Before becoming an attorney, I served
as a human resource executive with the City of Las Vegas and worked
10 years as a police officer in the City of Henderson. I am a
single father of two wonderful children; we spend much of our free
time camping, hiking, and exploring Nevada.
The State Bar plays an important role
in the administration of justice. The core activities of the State
Bar should be administered efficiently and economically with an eye
toward delivery of
services and benefits to members which will help them personally and
professionally.
If elected to the Board of Governors,
I will endeavor to ensure that your dues are utilized efficiently
and appropriately. I will advocate that more Annual Meetings should
be conducted throughout our own beautiful state so that more of us
can attend and participate! I will also
keep a practical focus on
real life issues concerning our representation of clients and our
lives as practicing attorneys.
I am a firm believer in pro-bono service and have volunteered many
hours and days to various pro-bono activities. I will endeavor to
broaden the opportunities for each of us to give back to our
community.
I appreciate your vote to the Board of
Governors. I promise to represent your interests to the best of my
abilities.
