E-Filing Now Mandatory for Criminal Cases in the Eighth Judicial District

Effective October 1, 2012, the Eighth Judicial District Court has made e-filing mandatory for criminal cases.  Documents can either be filed at the scanning stations located at the District Court Clerk’s Office on the third floor of the Regional Justice Center, which is a free service, or for a fee, through the Odyssey E-File and Serve System: http://wiznet.wiznet.com/clarknv.

Chief Judge for the Eighth Judicial District, Jennifer Togliatti believes the switch to e-filing is in the best interest of justice and will help with court and case management by reducing the use of paper, staff time and other resources.  “It is one of the many ways we are moving aggressively to maximize efficiency and save costs through technology,” Togliatti said.
