Labor and Employment Section of the Nevada State Bar: CLE, Meeting, Elections and Mixer
On May 31st, 2012 the Labor and Employment Section will be hosting a CLE, Annual Section Meeting, Officers Election, and Social Mixer. Additionally, for those of our members in the north, the annual meeting and CLE will be available by means of video conference at the Reno offices of Lionel Sawyer located at 50 W Liberty St # 1100 Reno, NV 89501. The CLE is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. with the meeting and elections to immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. As a great thinker once said, “time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana” so RSVP to cgwalker@littler.com before time slips by.
About the Section:
Purpose:
- To enhance the role and skill of the lawyers engaged in the practice of Labor and Employment through study, collection, development and dissemination of materials on subjects of interest to the Labor and Employment law practitioners;
- To assist in the formation, administration and implementation of programs, forums and other activities for the education of members of the State Bar of Nevada in matters pertaining to Labor and Employment laws and regulations;
- To recognize and discuss means of improving the practice of law in the field of Labor and Employment;
- To act upon all matters germane to its purpose as so described or referrer to by the Board of Governors.
