Law Day Live Essay Contest Starts Today!
For the second consecutive year in a row, the Nevada Supreme Court and the State Bar of Nevada are beginning Law Day Live activities with the the Law Day Easy Essay Contest. For five weeks, a question is posted each Monday on the Nevada Supreme Court website
and students are asked to write an essay answering the question, which relates to this year’s Law Day Live theme: Realizing the Dream: Equality for All. Essays are limited to 100 words and are due at the end of the week; essays should be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Justice Michael Cherry and the State Bar of Nevada will award $100 to each week’s winner. Winners will be announced on the Supreme Court website, along with honorable mention candidates. This is the second year in a row the Nevada Supreme Court has sponsored the easy essay contest as part of the court’s award winning Law Day Live activities. Last year, five students from five different schools were recognized for their excellent essays.
