Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Litigation
ViewLaw Suits Clothing Drive Taking Place Oct. 24 - Nov. 1
From October 24 - November 1, the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Nevada is collecting new or used business attire. The clothing collected in Southern Nevada will be donated to Shade Tree Shelter, a Las Vegas shelter for homeless women and children.
Shade Tree’s job development program is designed to prepare women to enter or re-enter the job market at a self-sustaining wage. Shade Tree provides business attire and bus passes for interviewing and employment. Shade Tree is also in need of men’s suits for its teenage residents. The suits are used to outfit the teens for job interviews and special events such as prom or homecoming. Additional men’s business attire will be donated to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, which serves hungry and homeless Las Vegans.
The clothing collected in Northern Nevada will be donated to Nevada Legal Services. Nevada Legal Services represents low income Nevadans in housing evictions, public benefits, unemployment benefits, consumer law, immigration, family law, elder law and Indian law, among many other areas. The law suits drive will help further this mission by providing appropriate court attire to low income residents that otherwise could not afford it.
