The State Bar of Nevada’s “Ethics 2000” Committee, a blue-ribbon Committee
chaired by Steven B. Wolfson, was recently formed to address changes made to the
Model Rules of Professional Conduct by the American Bar Association (ABA). The
State Bar E2K Committee is reviewing all the Nevada Rules of Professional
Conduct (SCRs 150-203.5) using the ABA model rule changes as a basis for
discussion[2]. See www.nvbar.org under the “E2K” icon for additional detailed
information regarding the Committee’s progress.
Please attend and share your views with the Committee at one of the public
hearings noticed above. Public commentary will be considered prior to a final
recommendation being filed with the Supreme Court of Nevada.
PLEASE notify Bar Staff in advance if you plan to attend at kristinam@nvbar.org or fax (702) 382-8747 attn: E2K. Although not required, we would appreciate notice of which rule(s) you plan to address and advance copy of any written materials if at all possible.
