State Bar of Nevada Committee Vacancies

The State Bar of Nevada is seeking interested members to fill vacancies for a volunteer appointment to the Northern Nevada Attorney Advertising Committee. The Lawyer Referral and Information Service Committee is also seeking one member. Check our Committee Vacancies page to see all the bar's available committee openings. To apply for any position you must download and complete a committee appointment application from the State Bar of Nevada website. Appointments shall be considered by the Board of Governors at their next meeting.

Polsenberg Appointed Representative to ABA’s House of Delegates

The State Bar of Nevada has appointed Daniel F. Polsenberg as its representative to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates. The House of Delegates is the policy-making body of the ABA, the largest voluntary professional association in the world. The ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.

Polsenberg is a partner with the firm of Lewis and Roca and has previously served as president of both the State Bar of Nevada and the Clark County Bar Association.

Reference Sites for Nevada Attorneys

Chances are, most legal professionals in Nevada are aware of at least some of the online resources available to them, most notably wikipedia.org, about.com and refdesk.com. But your Internet options may be even broader than you think. There are free and easy-to-use information specific to Nevada attorneys, as well as reference sites which provide encyclopedias, dictionaries and reference guides.
