John "Jack" Howard was born in Boston, Massachusetts and is a father of three children.  Jack has been a foster parent and has contributed his time to numerous non-profit agencies, including AASK, Family Counseling Service, the Boulder City Recreation Department and the Boulder City Department of Parks and Recreation.  Jack has practiced law in Clark County since 1975 and he currently specializes in family law, criminal and civil matters.  Jack is a graduate of California Western University School of Law in San Diego, where he received his JD degree in 1974.  Jack was a former Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Thomas O'Donnell, he spent three years as a Deputy Public Defender, three years as a Deputy City Attorney and has served as an Alternate Juvenile Court Referee and as a Temporary Selection Committee member.  At present, Jack is an Alternate Family Support and T.P.O. Referee, Boulder City Municipal Court Judge Pro Tem, Special Prosecutor for the City of Las Vegas, Arbitrator, Pro Bono Board member, and private practitioner.  Jack is also a member of the California bar.
