COVID-19 Recovery Phase 1: Eighth Judicial District Court Discusses Next Steps

On Thursday, May 7, Governor Sisolak announced that Nevada would enter Phase 1 of the statewide COVID-19 recovery plan effective Saturday, May 9.

In a blog post, the Eighth Judicial District Court stated that according to Chief Judge Linda Bell, the court is currently operating in accordance with the guidelines issued for Phase 1 of the recovery plan. Court operations will continue as such, during the governor’s Road to Recovery Phase 1, and for at least 30 days after the first phase (a minimum of 60 days). Jury trials are not expected to begin again for a minimum of 75 days.
