Court Annexed Arbitration Program

Interested attorneys may apply to become an arbitrator through the Nevada Supreme Court Annexed Arbitration Program. To join the Arbitration Program:

  1. The applicant must meet the qualifications as defined in Nevada Arbitration Rule 7.
  2. The applicant must complete and submit an Arbitrator Application.  Out-of-state attorneys or non-attorney applicants must complete a Non-Attorney Arbitration Application Request Form.  Please submit to the State Bar of Nevada at 3100 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89102. 
  3. An application fee of $150.00 payable to the State Bar of Nevada must be sent with the application. 
  4. The applicant must complete the mandatory Arbitrator Training Course presented by the State Bar of Nevada.



Attorney arbitrators must be licensed to practice law in Nevada and shall have practiced law a minimum of eight years in any jurisdiction.  Non-attorney arbitrators must: (a) be listed on the roster of approved arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association or a similar, reputable arbitration service, or (b) have a juris doctor degree and eight years of work experience in their areas of expertise. 
Please note: Attorneys may be admitted as an approved arbitrator but must complete the next available training course provided by the State Bar of Nevada.  Any admitted arbitrator who does not complete the next available training will be removed from the list of approved arbitrators.
