Testing Accommodations – Americans with Disabilities Act:
Without impairing the integrity of the examination process, the Board of Bar Examiners has adopted policies and procedures to provide testing accommodations for those applicants whose disabilities are covered within the scope of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).
An applicant requesting accommodation must provide a request in writing at the time he or she submits the exam application. The Board of Bar Examiners will respond with an application for testing accommodations.
Accommodation Packet Submission Deadlines:
- July Exam: Accommodation packets must be postmarked no later than June 1.
- February Exam: Accommodation packets must be postmarked no later than January 1.
Accommodation Details for July 2020 Bar Exam:
- Applicants approved for testing accommodations as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act will test in-person if the necessary accommodations cannot be administered remotely. Applicants with extra-time only accommodations will be permitted to test remotely.
- In-person testing will be conducted in individual rooms and situated such to comply with social distancing requirements between applicants, proctors, and staff present at the testing site.
