About the Section
The Entertainment Law Section of the Nevada State Bar is being established to serve the legal and business development needs of lawyers who are members of the State Bar of Nevada and who practice in the area of Entertainment law or otherwise provide services to the Entertainment industry.
Entertainment law describes laws applicable to filmed, recorded, or live entertainment. This includes the pre-production, production, post-production and distribution of all audio-visual works, audio-only works, and visual arts. Works included in these categories include, but are not limited to, theatrical films and shorts, television movies, shows and series, plays, music and musical performances and concerts, recorded and live internet programs, and art shows and displays. The section will also address the licensing, assignment and distribution of entertainment content in all media.
