Upcoming Hearing on Oct. 19 to Discuss Proposed Amendments to the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure
On Friday, Aug. 17, the Nevada Supreme Court filed ADKT 0522, submitted by the committee to revise and update the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure. The committee has proposed several amendments to the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure (NRCP), representing a comprehensive revision of those rules. The petition, and its exhibits, describing the proposed amendments in detail, is available on the court’s website.
The Nevada Supreme Court invites the bench, bar and public to submit written comments regarding these proposed changes. Comments may be submitted until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, to Elizabeth Brown, Clerk of the Supreme Court, at 201 South Carson Street, Carson City, Nevada, 89701.
In addition, the Supreme Court has scheduled a public hearing to discuss the proposed amendments. It will take place on Friday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. in the Nevada Supreme Court courtroom at 408 East Clark Ave. in Las Vegas. It will also be videoconferenced to the Nevada Supreme Court courtroom at 201 South Carson Street in Carson City. Persons interested in participating in the hearing must notify the clerk by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12.
