Written Comments Sought Re: Lawyer Advertising Rule Amendments and Interpretive Guidelines
On March 9, 2018, the Nevada Supreme Court signed an order amending Nevada Rules of Professional Conduct (NRPC) 7.1 and 7.2, regarding lawyer advertising. With the newly revised advertising rules in place, a list of Lawyer Advertising Interpretive Guidelines was drafted and approved by the state bar’s Board of Governors. These guidelines are being provided as a notice to advertising attorneys, so that they will better understand how the Advertising Advisory Committee may interpret the lawyer advertising rules, providing a basis for its referrals.
