Committee Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for a State Bar of Nevada committee. Insightful participation from bar members is critical to the State Bar’s success, and your assistance is greatly appreciated. We’re grateful for the valuable time; hard work and thoughtful collaboration that our committee members offer to strengthen and grow the State Bar.

Any individual applying for membership on a State Bar Committee, Board, Panel or as an appointee by the State Bar to other organizations, must submit a Volunteer Appointment Application Form. Attorney members (active or inactive or special admission) must currently be in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.

Please complete this form and all attached documentation. Your submission form will be forwarded to the appropriate committee(s) and our Board of Governors for review.


Disciplinary Record

In order to be considered by the State Bar of Nevada, each potential appointee shall execute a waiver of confidentiality with respect to his or her Disciplinary Record and any pending Complaints from any jurisdiction for purposes of the appointment process.

Prior to appointment by the Board of Governors, a State Bar of Nevada staff member or a Committee representative will contact you.
 
Upon notice of vacancy, the State Bar of Nevada Board of Governors appoints members to the following: Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection; Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline; Nevada Standing Committee on Judicial Ethics and Election Practices; ABA House of Delegates.

Note: While discipline is NOT a per se disqualification, the failure to disclose discipline shall disqualify you from an appointment.
